Welcome to The Sink #85! Sorry for the delay... yet again. We recorded this in early October, and now a month later I've finally gotten around to editing and posting it. A shame, too, since IMHO this is a really good episode (admittedly its one flaw is that there's not enough Tony) — if you only listen to one episode of "The Sink" all year ... well then fuck you, too, buddy. Other than the eponymous topics of discussion, we cover Joan Rivers: A Piece of Work and "The A-List: New York," read an email from Shmoo, and more!

There be MINOR SPOILERS for The Social Network. Here's the breakdown:
0:00 - 0:12 Intro and Shmoo's email (video games, etc.)
0:12 - 0:35 Polygamy and "Sister Wives"
0:35 - 0:54 The Social Network
0:54 - 1:09 Joan Rivers: A Piece of Work, "The A-List: New York," Halloween costumes and other random topics
1:09 - 1:10 Easter eggs / Outtakes
Don't forget to email us your thoughts; we're going to record a new episode some time in the next couple of weeks (probably in the middle of the month).

The Sink #84 - Not Everything Jared Says Is The Title Part 2
Welcome to The Sink #84! Sorry for the delay, again; it's a few days after I intended to have part two up. We recorded this episode a week ago, as explained in the intro to the previous episode. Get your emails in to thesinkpodcast [at] gmail [dot] com. soon for our next new episode, which we plan to record the weekend of October 1.
There be SPOILERS for the just-aired season of "True Blood," including the season finale.

The Sink #83 - Your Quality Is Bad: Part 1
Welcome to The Sink #83! First of all, sorry for the delay. We recorded this episode a week ago, but difficulties with Skype led us to stop recording only halfway through your emails, with plans to pick up where we left off three days later. We did, and rambled on for more than another hour. Therefore, in our tweets and Facebook updates, we've been referring to this as a two-parter. (Part two will appear no later than September 25.) Here is the first of them, in which we discuss Resident Evil: Afterlife, the Saw Series, video games, Jared's taste in men, the horror marathon, and more.

The Sink #82 - What's Bullet Point Number Two?
Welcome to The Sink #82! Featuring special guests Jessifer and Patrick, what this Sink lacks in audio quality (we had to improvise with a single iPhone doing the job of four microphones), it makes up in a surplus of awesomeness and good humor. Thanks as always for your emails. Keep an eye on the Twitter for news of our next recording date, but to be safe, better get your emails in by Saturday morning, September 11.

There be SPOILERS (albeit minor ones) for The Twilight Saga: Eclipse. Yes, really!
Props! Our closing music is a clip from Jonathan Coulton's song, "Flickr," which (like all his music) is released under Creative Commons. It's a small, Sink-sized tribute to Cindy and Neal, who are celebrating two years of matrimony even as we post this episode. Happy anniversary, you crazy kids!

The Sink #81 - I Have a Feeling Liz Knows How to Handle Herself
Welcome to The Sink #81! We recorded a day earlier than we originally planned, so apologies to those of you who didn't get a chance to submit an email. (We're staring longingly through our telescope at you, Dr. Andrei!) We'll be recording our next episode some time over Labor Day weekend (if we can swing it, we'll be joined by special guests Jessifer and Patrick), so be sure to get your carefully crafted missives in by Friday, September 3.

There be SPOILERS for this week's "Project Runway" and le grande finale of "The Hills." Isn't this crazy how all this is happening while Lauren is gone?
Props! Eternal and continued thanks to Steven Gullett for the use of his beloved song, "Lovers and Clowns," which I like to think will one day appear on a compilation of his work as "Lovers and Clowns (Theme from The Sink)."

Don't miss! A musical shout-out to Jared before the outtakes at the tail end of the podcast.
Technical note: Although our volume levels are much more consistent this episode, there are some occasional issues with Carrie's microphone that we didn't really notice until we were editing. On the other hand, that very occasional crackling you hear is Jared's beard rubbing against his headset. We'll force him to shave before the next episode or something.

The Sink #80 - After 2 1/2 Years, We Have Nothing To Talk About
Welcome to The Sink #80! With less than 24 hours notice, we somehow managed to elicit five reader emails, powered through a nasty stomach bug, and (in spite of the title) eked out nearly 90 minutes of raw material. We've whittled that down to a more manageable hour-'n'-change to return with the first new episode of "The Sink" in a whopping 896 days! On top of that: Only 10 minutes of the show is dedicated to "Lost" — can you believe it?!

There be SPOILERS for Inception and episodes that have already aired of "Lost," "Top Chef," and "Project Runway." We also spend the last segment of the show discussing this week's episode of "True Blood," spoilers and all. (There was a FUTURE spoiler for "True Blood," too, but we bleeped that out for you.)
Technical note: Tony and Zack are a little quieter than Carrie and Jared. Overall, I think we're pretty happy with the audio quality, but this was definitely the one sore spot we noticed in post-production. Sorry. We'll make sure it's fixed for our next show. Whenever that is.
